Business Relief Opportunities

For Eateries, Business Owners, and Employees

Many local businesses are setting up business and staff relief funds on crowdfunding websites. By creating a page to accept donations and explaining your eatery’s situation, you enable community members to provide direct relief.

Some sites to consider are listed below:

GoFundMe

  • Fees: 2.9% + $0.30 per donation

  • GoFundMe has a $500 matching fund program for small businesses (details below)

InKind

  • Fees: Varies

  • InKind purchases between $10,000 and $2,000,000 in Food and Beverage credit from a restaurant at a discount, which is then used up as you make sales to customers.  If you do not make enough sales, they will sell the credits back to you at full price.

  • You need to advertise their flyers in your eatery.

GoGetFunding

  • Fees: 6.9% + $0.30 per donation

If you raise at least $500 on GoFundMe, you can receive a $500 match through GoFundMe’s Small Business Relief Initiative. Franchises are not eligible. To be eligible, make sure to:

  • Add the hashtag #SmallBusinessRelief to your fundraiser story

  • Fill out this form

Send us the link to your business or staff relief fund through our Contact Us form and we will post it on our website and share it on social media for readers to contribute.  Need help creating an effective GoFundMe page?  Let us know via our Contact Us form and we'd be happy to review your page and give you suggestions!
